Happy Valentines!

Where on earth did the weekend go? I planned to have this post published by last night, yet here I am writing it a day late.
I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day, single or not! I think that it's such a good excuse to get together with friends or even just to pamper yourself for the night.
This is what I did with my make up for the night, I had some extra time to take photos so I thought, why not make a blog post?

First thing's first. Prep.
Even after cleansing I like to use a make-up remover to make sure it's all gone and my face is fresh. Do not even get me started on how much I love Micellar Solutions like this L'oreal one.
For moisturizer I'm a plain kinda girl so the Superdrug range does me just fine and as for lip balm it has to be 8-Hour Cream. Ever since I saw that Diana Vickers used this I snapped it up and I've never looked back.
Next, base.
Three product wonder right here. Being Valentine's Day, I needed a flawless base that would last. The staying power of the Clinique foundation along with the Lasting Perfection concealer is a must. And every girl needs a Chanel Powder Compact, right?
Brows.
After completing my base I went on to my eyebrows. I find it easier to do my eye make up once my brows are done. Brows frame the eyes (how many times have we all heard that in the past year?) and I resemble some sort of alien before I fill mine in, that's why I do them here. My brow "routine" (if you could call it that)  is fairly simple. Angled brush, Mac's "Brown Down" and a scrappy looking MUA brow set.
My favorite part, eyes!
Honestly, I had a nightmare on Valentine's Day. I did my eye make-up three times before I found a look I liked. Miss Indecisive right here.
I started with my Clinique potted concealer as a base then patted my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade "Permanent Taupe" all over my lid. Moving on, I built up the colour with the grey shadow from my Inglot pallette (it was a gift so I'm not sure of the shade) which I loved the look of. I blended the black along my lashline and in the crease for some smokiness. I finished off by adding some winged liner, curling my lashes and putting on a coat of mascara.

Lash Time!
Who doesn't want wispy, flirty lashes? Especially on Valentines.
I had these Eylure ones lying around for a while and this was the perfect excuse to use them!
p.s Please ignore my hideous, unshaped eyebrows.

Nearly there, blush and highlight!
To add a little sparkle I put Topshop's Glow in ..... on my cheek bones, cupid's bow, inner corner of my eyes and my brow bone.I love the look it gives and as it's not a powder, it doesn't look cakey.
Blush just ties everything together and I love the Sleek blushes. This one is the cutest pink, perfect for Valentines or any date night.

Finally, lips.
My most loved (and most used judging by the look of it) lipstick.
Innocent by Topshop. It's in between a nude and a pink.
Because my eyes were quite dark I wanted a simple lip look and this is what I found myself reaching for.

And that's it, my complete Valentine's Make-Up all in one blog.
